RJ and Lhai — Proposal Story

More than just providing the ring for our customers, it has always been our joy to be a part of the process towards the “I do”. Check out what RJ has got to say for their  proposal story:

THE PREPARATION
The proposal to my girlfriend, Lhai, was 3 weeks in the making. Contacting her friends and mine for it, without her knowing it, was the difficult part. She has access to my phone so I always needed to delete messages about the proposal.

I told her that one of my friends plans to surprise her girlfriend for their 1st anniversary in a hotel room and that I would help in setting it up. “Coincidentally” her college friends (my accomplices) scheduled a lunch for them to catch up on the same day.

I brought her to their lunch and headed straight to the hotel. My friends and I started to set up the room. Friends started coming. I fetched her afterward and told her that we would need to buy pizza for the surprise. Her college friends then proceeded to the hotel.

THE SURPRISE
When we got back at the hotel and upon alighting the elevator, she was surprised to see Mari, her work best friend, in the hallway waiting. Mari got up to her and blindfolded her. She led Lhai to a room and have her change her outfit.

She got out of the room and saw our friends and the setup. She started crying and walked towards me. I got teary-eyed as well. I kissed her and gave her flowers. I delivered my speech wherein I said, "Almost 5 years ago, you said yes in Stella O and you became my first girlfriend. Now, will you be my last and only girlfriend I’ll ever have?". She said “Oo.."
