1. Gemological Institute of America (GIA) 🏢

GIA stands for the Gemological Institute of America. "Its founder, Robert Shipley, recognized the need for a comprehensive approach for understanding and evaluating gemstones." These standards serve as the pillars of the industry, fostering confidence and trust between jewellers and the community until today.

2. One of the Largest Source of Diamond Information Globally 🌎

The GIA has established 14 locations in 13 different countries. These laboratories, campuses, and research centers build the network of knowledge and expertise that allow the GIA to create accurate reports of the world's finest lab-grown diamonds.

3. Lab Diamond 4Cs 💎

Did you know? The GIA pioneered the global standards for lab diamond grading: Cut, Carat, Color and Clarity, commonly known as 4Cs. At present, labs worldwide are still using these guidelines to heart, helping you make informed comparisons across different certifying bodies.

5. Same Process for Lab-Grown and Natural Diamonds 💍

Because mined and lab-made diamonds are optically, physically, and chemically the same, the GIA grades these jewels in the same scrutinous manner. 

6. Laser Inscription 🧐

The GIA adds a laser inscription to lab-grown diamonds for added security and easier identification. This mark, which can only be seen through a jeweller's loupe, links the gemstone to its GIA report for an extra layer of safety.

7. Independent and Impartial ⚖️

Similar with the IGI, the GIA does NOT produce or sell lab diamonds. They are both independent third-parties who scientifically evaluate the world's most loved jewel.
