Valentine’s Date Night Ideas at Home for Couples during the Pandemic
Date Night has never been the same since the restrictions during the Pandemic. Some restaurants may be closing early-- plus the thought of exposing you and your loved one to the outside world can be pretty frightening.
Here are some fun at-home ideas to add a little creativity to make this Valentine’s Day special.
1. Take a virtual tour of a country you’d love to visit
The pandemic may have delayed your travel plans, but that doesn’t mean you can’t explore those countries virtually. Many countries have virtual tours available-- for example, tour the Highlands of Iceland. You can even plan the cuisine to match the country.
2. Bring date night to your home
Pull out some fancy clothes from your closet and have your significant other do the same. Order take-out from your favorite restaurant, light some candles, and bring date night to you.
3. Paint and sip
Wanting to try those sip and paint events? Why not try it at home? You can purchase some paints and canvases, or even the paint by numbers online! All you have to do next is prepare your favorite bottle of wine, maybe create your cheese platter as well for more experience.
4. Picnic at Home
Set up your blankets and some throw pillows at your garden or even inside your Living Room. Add some lighting and some candle lights (electric candles if you have kids for safety) and prepare a hearty meal that comes along with it. There you have it! Pinterest is key for your setup inspiration.
5. Game Night
Move away from your cell phones and spend time together through your favorite board/card games. Make it more exciting by stating a prize for the winner-- like doing the dishes for one week or granting one wish for the victorious one. If you have kids, you can also invite them for this one.
6. Spa Day
Who doesn’t love to relax? Bring some aroma in-- turn your diffuser on with some relaxing scent or light up your scented candles at home. Prepare your massage oils and give each other a massage, This can also be an introduction for some intimate moments.
7. Movie Marathon
Turn off the lights, start popping your popcorn and watch your favorite movies together. You can create a list beforehand so you wouldn’t spend too much time on choosing which movies to watch on your date night itself.
8. Zoom Night
If you’re away from your loved one, you can do everything that you can above virtually (except for for the Spa Day). With the help of technology, you can now do things together even if you’re both miles apart.
We hope that these ideas might help spark up your ideas as you prepare for your Valentines Date. Have a romantic 14th of February!
