Cerwin and Angela - Proposal Story

This is how Angela felt about Cerwin. Know more about their love story from their very own perspectives. Yes, two different perspectives but one story, one journey and one love.
Cerwin's Perspective
Our story started wayback 2008. we were both college nursing students. I was really fond of her the first time i saw her. Sobrang simple nya kasi. Di ko masyado trip ung mga sobrang ganda, pag tumagal kasi nakakasawa yung ganda nila. Para sakin mas ok ung taong simple lang pero habang tumatagal at nakikilala, dun lalo gumaganda 🙂
She was hard-to-get nung una, ayaw magpaligaw, pakipot, pero pag na-effortan, stunned sya, naka smile lang and speechless. I pursued her for almost 3.5yrs then I finally got her first "yes" on our oath taking (as nurses) on September 14 2011.
More than 8 long years of being together and we've been through a lot of quarrels and misunderstandings but she chose to stay despite seeing my dark and bad side. That's when I decided that she's the one I've been praying for. Clearly God answers our prayers and He answered mine with a lifetime companion.
On our 99th monthsary, I told my parents about my plan, I set up a lunch with her family to ask their permission to propose to their daughter (thank God they said "yes" to me for their daughter) and I asked her friends to help me set up a christmas party / birthday celebration for their group to conceal my wedding proposal. I had the event prepared at purple owl tagaytay.
Few things I realized/ contemplated / pondered before pursuing this
1. Siya ung dumating na ayoko nang mawala.
2. Why look for someone better, when all along you have the absolute best.
3. I feel contented with her, she's my home.
Angela's Perspective
Way back in 2008, we were college students that time, and our common friend introduced me to him. The first time I saw him, I felt nothing. He's really not my type so binalewala ko. Hindi ko inexpect na sya na pala yung "THE ONE". Having a boyfriend that time is not my priority and I promised my parents that I will focus first on my studies. As days went by, we became friends, nakilala ko siya ng mabuti and he's very nice and fun to be with hanggang hindi ko namamalayan na he's courting me already. I must admit he's the romantic type of guy... Of all guys na nagattempt manligaw, siya yung pinakasweet at grabe mag effort. Every time he did surprises, I am speechless. I really felt his sincere love for me. But during the courting stage, I was hard-to-get and pakipot (Haha!). He courted me for almost 3.5 years. Muntik pa maging "the one that got away". But, he never gave up on me until I finally gave my first YES to him.
We've been through a lot during our more than 8 years of being in a relationship - quarrels and misunderstandings, magkaibang magkaiba kase kami. Lahat ng ayaw ko, yun yung gusto niya. Pero sabi nga nila, opposite attracts. Proven and tested. Kaya naman despite of all the things that happened, we still chose to be with each other. Through thick and thin. Love is not finding someone to live with. It's finding someone you can't live without. I can't imagine myself without him. Parang walang Angela pag walang Cerwin. Our 8 years of relationship is full of love, respect, trust and happiness.
Now, that we're getting married soon, I'm really thankful to God for giving me such a loving and responsible man not only for me but also to his family. He really has a big heart and I admire him for that. I know he's not perfect but he is all I want. Siya lang at wala ng iba pa. I felt happy and contented when I'm with him. I can't wait to walk down the aisle and seeing my first and last man of my life waiting for me. ❤
